He as also been in fine form for Championship side Cardiff City scoring 13 goals in 17 games making him a target for a host of Premier League clubs.
Cardiff are near to closing a £1 million deal for Everton forward James Vaughan, opening the way for Bothroyd to move to a Premier League club. After such great scoring form this season, Bothroyd is rated as good goal scorer and a lot of Premier League clubs are fighting for his signature. It is thought that Bothroyd is valued around £2 million, Cardiff signed him for £350,000 back in 2008.
Premier League club Fulham are favourites to sign Bothroyd and Alex McLeish’s Bimingham city have also expressed interest in the player. There is also a “small chance” of Bothroyd rejoining his former club – Arsenal.
